Big Pulse Dance Alliance

Big Pulse Dance Alliance (BPDA), a four-year partnership (2021-2024) of 12 European dance festivals and institutions, came to an end on December 31, 2024. Its aim was to promote and strengthen contemporary dance and expand its reach. With the support of EU co-funding from Creative Europe, the BPDA has diversified dance programming on stage and in outdoor public spaces, supported the development of artists through mentoring, travel and workshop programs, and invited new audiences to engage with the art form through dynamic live or digital performances and other participatory activities. The long-term vision of the project was to create a vibrant network of European dance festivals working collaboratively and sustainably to promote the life-changing impact of dance.

With Big Pulse Reflections, the project celebrated its grand finale on October 23 and 24, 2024 in Turin during the Torinodanza Festival.

We look back with gratitude on four years of great collaboration, exchange and networking.
