Matomo (formerly: PIWIK)

We deploy Matomo (formerly “PIWK”) on our web presence. This is open source software, with which we can analyse the use of our web presence. That means that your IP address, the website(s) comprising our web presence, which you visit, the website from which you changed over to our web presence (referring URL), the time you spent on our web presence and the frequency with which you access one of our websites is processed.

In order to gather said data, Matomo saves a cookie on your terminal, via your web browser. This cookie is valid for one week.

The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest lies in analysing and optimising our web presence.

We do, however, use Matomo with the anonymisation function, viz. “Automatically Anonymize Visitor IPs”. This anonymisation function truncates your IP address by two bytes, making it impossible to associate your IP address with you, or with the Internet connection used by you.

Should you not be in agreement with said processing, you have the opportunity to prevent the cookie from being saved by choosing a certain setting in your web browser. You can find further information on this above, under “Cookies”.

You, moreover, have the option of terminating the analysis of your usage pattern by way of the opt-out. By selecting this option, a cookie that prevents any further analysis is saved on your terminal via your web browser. Please note, however, that, if you delete the cookies saved on your terminal, you need to access the above link again.
