14th International Festival Berlin
15.8. – 31.8.2002
Times are bad for culture in Berlin. There is an absence of new cultural-political visions; the creation of adequate, more contemporary structures for these changing times is long overdue. Instead, rash budget cuts are endangering the work of important venues and institutions known far beyond Berlin, thus hampering creative development and destroying artistic capital.
In times like these, Berlin's International Dance Festival is a beacon proving the appeal of dance and performance with a display of bold imagination and artistic magnetism in a wide range of work.
