Alan Lucien Øyen / winter guests

Story, story, die.

Duration 90 Min

The new choreography by Alan Lucien Øyen / winter guests “Story, story, die.” looks at the relationship between lies and love: the things we do to be liked. It explores how we constantly re-arrange everyday life into stories in an attempt to craft a desirable narrative – how we ‘lie’ about ourselves and ‘stage’ reality for each other – as we meet in person or through social media. In 2018 Øyen was a guest of Tanz im August with his production “Bon Voyage, Bob” for Tanztheater Wuppertal Pina Bausch.
