In our cities, on bronze horses, proud kings quietly stare above our heads. Artistic duo Byström Källblad address the European image of male dominance and ask: Where are the women and their stories? In “City Horses” a herd of female dancers gallop from city to city, making the squares and streets their stage. In a living monument they reimagine the role of the female body in public space with courage and horsepower.
