The printed edition of Magazin im August 2022 will be published at the start of the festival and will be available at all venues for free. It provides a personal perspective into the world of the artists and their work and also informs the audience with reports, interviews, portraits and essays by international journalists and dance experts. This year's edition it covers articles with Oona Doherty, Adam Linder, Martha Hincapié Charry, and Bruno Beltrão and many more, with topics on gender boundaries, the tradition of dance as culture, and the disruption of these structures through experimental interpretations in choreographies.
"In the festival magazine you can find the stroies behind the programme [...] Insights into artistic thinking. There is a rich conversation around political, social and artistic visions that reflects the diverse background and cultural diversity of this year‘s artists" – Virve Sutinen, Artistic Director, Tanz im August
