With tempo, wit and virtuosity, “Body Concert” pulls together the many-faceted language of contemporary dance to deliver what it promises: a concert of bodies swathed in light, music and costumes. To music from Baroque to pop, this successful piece by the Korean Ambiguous Dance Company seeks the connection with its audience in a lavish celebration of movement. The choreographer Boram Kim founded the company in 2007 to research into the rhythm of things – and to explore his idea that human beings should live their lives as if they were dancing.
