REMACHINE

Duration approx. 60 mins.

In “REMACHINE” choreographer Jefta van Dinther explores the interaction between humans and an inescapably hyper-mechanised world. Five dancers walk, climb, and float on a massive, continuously rotating disc, dealing with their existence in an environment fraught with tension. At the heart of the choreography lies the question of how our bodies are conditioned by our surroundings as we move through them. Completely at the mercy of technology, the dancers navigate the unstable ground. The result is a dance, and a cascade of polarising forces, in interaction with the performers' voices and the composition by David Kiers in a collaboration with musician Anna von Hausswolff.
