Anyone familiar with film history will make an astonishing discovery when they look Elpida Orfanidou carefully in the face. The dancer and choreographer looks remarkably like Maria Falconetti, the actress who played Jeanne d’Arc in Carl Theodor Dreyer’s famous movie from 1928. This coincidence forms the starting point for this collaboration with Juan Perno. The evening will playfully approach such big topics as mimesis.
