STREB Extreme Action

SEA (Singular Extreme Actions)

Duration 45 min

New York choreographer Elizabeth Streb calls her performers ‘Action Heroes’ and her company STREB Extreme Action. They dance with danger and push the body to its limits: interacting with spectacular machines; her dancers are rocketed into the air and plunge back down to the ground; they play with gravity and human fears, all of which they seek to overcome. At the Sony Center on Potsdamer Platz, STREB will present five action events integrating the ‘Action Heroes’ virtuosity with the dynamics of large-scale machines to challenge our imagination.
