Where, when and how do we enjoy ourselves? In what ways can fun be physically expressed? Lea Moro’s new project inquires into the social relevance of enjoyment and investigates forms of its production. The Berlin choreographer often sets herself impossible tasks and combines the canonical with elements taken from popular culture and everyday life. In this work she enters a bright, noisy amusement park with its carnival rides and its travelling performers, transmuting the formulas of the park into choreographic principles. What emerges is a landscape of rotating bodies, of jokes, magic and masquerade.
